Happy Birthday, Papa!!

Clay Creatures

Last week, Joshua and I had a great time creating cool clay creatures. Modeling clay is such an interesting medium to use. Joshua wanted to show off some of his creatures...a snake, a turtle, and a whale of some sort or another! :)

The Discovery

Along one side of our fence, plants grow kind-of wild. There's a chain link fence on our side, then a few inches and then the neighbors fence. Neil walked out this morning to discover that one of the huge "weeds" was actually a beautiful sunflower! It's at least 10 feet tall, and unless I get up on a chair, this is as close as I could get to it. Micah was enjoying the discovery as well, but from the ground. :)

The Turtle

The other day while we were playing at the park, Joshua managed to catch this little red eared slider. It was amazing to see. Usually, as soon as the turtles spy anyone around, they jump into the water. Joshua wasn't even on the hunt...he just walked right up, spied the turtle, and plucked it from a little log in the water. We're going to keep it for a few days and then return it to it's home. He reminds me of his daddy! :)

Micah found some mud the other day! Can you see the excitement on his face?

Summer time is here, as well as playing in the little pool! The boys have had a great time playing in the water and on the slide. Joshua even managed to squeeze in a little "snorkeling"!! Ha ha!

In the Buff

Sorry, no picture...but apparently Micah loves to run around naked. When we get ready for bed or the bath, he takes every opportunity to bolt and run around like a crazy kid. We were laughing too hard tonight for me to go get the camera. My apologies to the grandparents! :)

The Boys

Here are two more pictures from last weekend when we took the training wheels off of Joshua's bike! The boys actually wanted to sit and take a picture together (above) and they had a great time "racing" the training wheels!

Joshua's World

This post is for Joshua. He's going to think it's totally cool that pictures of his cars are on the blog! He was just telling me today that when he was 3 years old, he played with dinosaurs. Now that he's 4, he likes to play with cars! Priceless!
